I began my hobby of genealogy when my youngest child was in the fifth grade.  She was  given a project to make a family tree.  I realized at that time that I knew very  little about my family history beyond my grandparents.  Since I no longer live in  Louisiana and have my own grandchildren now, I decided that if I didn't find out  about all these family members who came before us, no one in my family would.  When  my grandchildren ask me about my family, I want to be able to tell them about the  entire family.
 If you have any information that you wouldn't mind sharing, especially pictures, I  would greatly appreciate your help.  This site will be updated when I acquire new  information.  Hopefully, with your help, we can get a complete picture of this Branch  of the Babin Family in the Gonzales, Louisiana area.
 Also, I have added a link to www.deadfred.com.  On that site, I have posted two  pictures that no one seems to know anything about,except that they think that they  are Babins.
